leadership beyond narcissism and self-preservation, is often rare to see……..horrible, but true!
I’m often challenged about what is the real, albeit concealed, motivation in Christian leadership……
hence in the redelineation of diocesian boundaries, this leadership rationale is humbling to hear, as Bishop Nick Baines paints it this way:-
“The church does not owe me a living and it is not about my security……”
“……..we must not make decisions based on fear, risk-aversion, nostalgia, conservatism or self-interest. That is a denial of any hint of Christian vision, theology or mission.”
Lets arise in godly assurance, deeper faith and gutsy integrity so that the best emerges, whatever our leadership influence. Let’s have selflessness win through. Costly, inspiring and full of kingdom generousity!
